Aaron Wester of The Modern Otter is a menswear and lifestyle blogger based in New York. After a decade of merchandising for a major retail brand, Aaron decided to follow his passions elsewhere. He created his blog with storytelling in mind; whether it’s styling an outfit, creating a beautiful photograph, or merchandising a store. For him, it’s all about conveying a striking visual story.
How have you been coping with the current pandemic?
"My husband and I plan “events” to break up our week. We cook a ton, but every few days we’ll have a romantic date night on the patio and order in. We host virtual happy hours with our friends, game nights in the living room and themed parties on the weekend. We do spa nights with cleansing face masks and relaxing music. It’s a simple concept, but it has really helped keep our spirits up til we can get outside again.”

In 2019, Steph co-founded the digital climate education platform, @FutureEarth. She is also an ambassador for Days For Girls International, The Environmental Working Group, Former Vice President Al Gore’s The Climate Reality Project, and a strategic advisor for Khana.

How have you been coping with the current pandemic?
“I have been keeping calm during this difficult time by trying to keep a consistent routine, even though I am at home. It makes me feel productive and keeps the day moving. I have also been keeping busy by organising around the house—something that I normally would not have extra time to get around to.”

Chantelle Paige-Mulligan is a fashion lifestyle influencer residing in San Francisco with her husband, daughter, an adorable dog, and a mini pig. This fun family will also be adding another bundle of joy to their clan—a baby boy that’s due in August! Before taking on blogging full-time, Chantelle was a touring singer/songwriter signed to Interscope Records. In 2017, she fell in love with social media and she used her platform to spread her positive energy. Now, she’s a well-known influencer who’s launching her own capsule collection this summer!
How have you been coping with the current pandemic?
“During this time at home, I'm trying to see the positive. When do we ever get this much time in our busy lives to spend time with those we love most? I'm trying to optimistically see this precious time to focus on my family. I've also organised A LOT, which is something I kept wanting to do and never getting around to. I've also been doing a lot more reading which is fantastic! I just finished ‘Little Fires Everywhere’ and now can't wait to binge the new show with Reese Witherspoon.”
